Coronation fever is sweeping across the country!

Excitement is building in the United Kingdom as the Coronation of the King and the Queen Consort approaches. The ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The event will reflect the Monarch's role in modern times, while still honouring longstanding traditions and pageantry.

Their Majesties will arrive at Westminster Abbey in the King's Procession, and will return to Buckingham Palace in a larger ceremonial procession known as the Coronation Procession. After the procession, the King and the Queen Consort will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with other Members of the Royal Family.
Coronation Concert
On Sunday 7th May 2023, a special Coronation Concert will be held and broadcast live from Windsor Castle by the BBC and BBC Studios.

The concert is expected to be a star-studded event and tickets were available through a public ballot.

Coronation Big Lunch
The following day, the Coronation Big Lunch will take place across the country, where neighbours and communities are invited to share food and fun together. Anyone interested in attending or organising a Big Lunch can head to The Big Lunch website for more information.

The Big Help Out
On Monday 8th May 2023, members of the public will be invited to take part in The Big Help Out. This event will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas. Information about how to attend or organize a Big Help Out event will be available on The Big Help Out website from 20 March.

This Coronation is an exciting time for the United Kingdom, and the events surrounding it provide a chance for people to come together and celebrate. Whether you're watching the ceremony from home, attending the Coronation Concert, sharing a meal with neighbours, or volunteering in your community, there are plenty of ways to get involved and be a part of this historic occasion. So eat, be merry and God Save The King!
